Online Donation

You may make a one time donation to the Varley-McKay Art Foundation to support the Varley Art Gallery through our PayPal account. You may use your credit card and you do not need to have a PayPal account to use this method.

Securities

The Varley-McKay Art Foundation of Markham is a registered charity under the Canadian Income Tax Act.  We can accept donations of marketable securities that create significant tax advantages to the donor.  If marketable securities are donated to the Foundation, any capital gain inherent in those securities is exempt from income tax. Consider gifting the security directly to the Foundation.  The capital gain on the security is exempt from tax and you receive a tax receipt for the full fair market value of the security. You will realize a significant advantage over selling the securities to generate the cash to make a donation and paying income tax on a capital gain that might be realized on the sale.
